Pumpers began in the summer of 2020 at Little Death Wine Bar on the St. Mary’s strip as a weekly burger pop-up created by Stefan Bowers, Charles Tiseth (who abandoned us to work at The Pearl) and Zeke Cavazos. In 2021 Pumpers expanded to a food-truck at Paper Tiger, but couldn’t compete with a taco truck parked next to it.
Two years after closing the truck the right location became available when Chad Carey, owner of Merci Jones, HOT JOY and 26 other concepts gave Pumpers a 1000 sq ft of unneeded space at Merci Jones. The rest is uncertain.
